Our Student Nondiscrimination Policy
The Life Center Project admits students without regard to race, color, national origin, ethnic group, or any other classification protected by applicable discrimination laws, with all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin, or any other classification protected by applicable discrimination laws, in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletic and other school-administered programs.
Student Rules
Success - We expect you to succeed. You should, too.
No Fighting, Slurs, Profanity, or Obscenity - Fighting (or any law breaking) may result in police arrest, removal, permanent expulsion, and/or complete loss of all financial support related to Life Center training through Work One.
Safety - Follow class specific safety rules at all times. Do not distract others, do not go where you do not have permission, and no vandalism. Failure to follow safety instructions will not be tolerated.
No Personal Electronics in Class - Keep the music and phones put away during class. No talking, texting, or surfing during training periods.
No Web Surfing - There are times when it is normal and necessary to access the internet as part of a class activity, however Facebook and other social networking sites and any other sites not related to class work are not allowed.
Dress Code - You are expected to be dressed decent at all times. That includes keeping pants pulled up, not showing excessive cleavage or midriff, and not wearing clothes that promote vices or anything illegal.
No Smoking on Life Center Property - Except in designated areas and only as long as ash and butts are kept picked up and disposed of properly. If butts are found on the ground any smoking privileges may be revoked for everyone.
Food Provided - Snacks and meals are provided as a privilege at the sole discretion of Life Center and/or instructors who volunteer to provide these. We believe it is hard to fill a mind when the stomach is empty, however lunch is to be eaten during the lunch period and not be carried into class. Snacks or drinks may be allowed during study sessions only with instructor permission.
Be On Time - Use breaks wisely and be where you belong when you belong. Use the bathroom, make calls, and do other personal business on your personal time - that’s what breaks are for. Tardy, absence, or leaving classes excessively for “bathroom” breaks will affect your grade.
Absence - Try to schedule personal appointments after school hours or on Friday. If you must be absent, you may be excused only if you call in and provide whatever proof may be required by the Director. Unexcused absence will affect your grade and may affect Work One financial support.
Relationship Problems - If you have a problem with another student or a teacher, go to the Director or another teacher.
Golden Rule - Treat others as you would like to be treated. Respect your instructors by being on time, participating in class, and following the above common sense rules. Respect your fellow students by not causing distractions or drama. You have the right to expect a safe and supportive learning environment.
